Park Ridge was incorporated in 1938.  The Village occupies approximately 143 acres and is surrounded by the City of Stevens Point on all sides.  The residential district is home to almost 500 people, and the commercial district has more than 50 businesses.  The Village has a five-member Board of Trustees, which meets monthly to conduct the business of the Village.  All board member terms are two years in length.  Board meeting agendas and minutes are posted here on the Village web site and on posting boards at Walgreens, the Village Hall, and outside the Community Industries Corporation building on Highway 66.  Agendas are also published in the Stevens Point Journal and Portage County Gazette at least 24 hours before the meetings.

All Village residents vote at the Village Hall, 24 Crestwood Drive.  Poll hours are 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.  State law requires that all voters register.  Registration may be done at the polls on Election Day.

Three newsletters are published during the year:  Spring (late March), Fall (late August), and Winter (late November).  They provide information on elections, Village events (such as the All-Village Rummage Sale and Santa’s Visit), and dates to remember throughout the year.  Past newsletters may be viewed on this web site (on the ‘Newsletters’ page).
